I’m a product-focused web engineer with 18 years’ experience turning complex, ambiguous requirements into digital products people can actually use.
I work comfortably across product thinking, UX, frontend and backend engineering, technical architecture and delivery — particularly where there isn’t already a perfectly written specification waiting to be built.
My background is primarily in PHP and JavaScript, building everything from campaign sites and content platforms to ecommerce, SaaS products, integrations and business-critical web applications. I’m equally comfortable working through interface details in HTML and CSS, designing application and database structure, integrating third-party APIs or getting into the infrastructure behind the product.
That breadth means I can move between the detail and the bigger picture: understanding what users need, questioning unnecessary complexity, making sensible technical decisions and carrying work through to a reliable finished product.
